Opening hours of parks, open spaces, playing fields and children's playgrounds
Except where otherwise stated, our parks are open each day all year round. We aim to open locked sites by 9.00am each day, and commence closing 30 minutes before sunset. Because unstaffed parks are locked by teams travelling from park to park, unstaffed sites can be closed up to 1 hour after the indicated closing time.
Some sports areas (such as tennis courts) are only open for prebooked activities, so please call us to check availability and make reservations.
Toilets are only open when staff are present on site for security reasons.
Parks and playgrounds that are normally locked at night will be left open from Christmas Eve until the first normal working day after New Year except for Skeltons Lane Park which will be closed at 4.30pm.

Saturday 24 October 2009 marks the end of British Summer Time. For week ending 25 October 2009 the 5:00pm closing time only applies to Sunday. For Monday to Saturday the closing time will be one hour later, ie 6:00pm.
