Improvements we are doing and what has been done
Project 1 Acacia Road Play Park,
E11
We have put in new swings, a climbing frame and built some new seating
and decking. The project was completed in April 2007.
Project 2: Leytonstone Railway Station,
E11
We have cut back the trees and worked with Network Rail to install a
new lighting system at this site. The work was completed in March 2007.
Project 3 Langthorne Park, E11
We
have improved the fencing, put a heating system into the pavilion, installed some new mosaics and reconstructed
the paving in the amphitheatre. The work was completed in March 2007.
Project 4 Jubilee Gardens, E11
We
have cut back the trees and bushes and replanted so that it is more difficult for people to hide and
lurk in them. The project work was completed in March 2007
Project 5 Tree Planning
We
have planted over 200 street trees this year around the borough and will be planting more during the
second year of the Cleaner, Safer, Greener Programme. The project work was completed in March 2007
Project 6 Abbotts Park, E10

park is being improved as part of the second year programme of works. The project work will be completed
by March 2008.
Project 7 Sidmouth Park, E10
This

Project 9 Knotts Green, E10

have put in a new path and planted over 4000 bulbs. The project work was completed in March 2007
Project 10 Score Playground, E10

teamed up with the Score Centre to put some new play equipment into this playground. The project work
was completed in March 2007
Project 11 St Mary's Churchyard,

We have completed the first phase of works to cut back the overgrown
trees and shrubs. The project work was completed in March 2007
Projects 12 Auckland Road and Dawlish
Road Allotments
We have put in a new toilet at Auckland Road and cleared
away lots of rubbish at Dawlish Road. The project work was completed in March 2007
Project 13 Coronation Gardens, E10

Project 14 South Grove Open Space,

We have planted 80 trees around the area, repainted the play equipment

Project 24 Higham Hill Recreation
Ground, E17
We have put in new seating, litter bins and replaced the fencing
around the tennis courts and football area. The project work was completed in March 2007.
Project 25 Bisterne Avenue Park,

We have repaired the tarmac path and repainted all the play equipment.

Project 26 Northwood Tower, Astins
House, St George's Court, Tom Smith and Ellen Miller House, E17
We worked
in Partnership with Ascham Homes to develop these playgrounds at Ascham Homes sites. The project work
was completed in December 2006.
