The Local Development Scheme is the project plan for delivering the LDF. It outlines the details of and the timetable for the production of all documents that make up the Waltham Forest Local Development Framework.
Our first LDS was published in March 2005 and was subsequently revised in October 2007. However it has become necessary to make further changes.
Towards the end of 2006, Waltham Forest embarked on an innovative and best practice programme of place shaping as a major prelude to the development of the Sustainable Community Strategy and the Local Development Framework. To ensure proper integration of the Council’s activities on the place shaping agenda and the preparation of the Sustainable Community Strategy, the three-year timetable for the completion of the LDF Core Strategy (the lead document) has been revised from November 2009 to July 2010. As a result of this change, some adjustments have been made to the timetable for producing other documents.
