Better Neighbourhoods Initiative in your area

» Area map for Lea Bridge and Markhouse

The Better Neighbourhoods Initiative is bringing extra resources to your area to tackle issues such as unemployment and poor health. BNI is also working to improve public services by making them more effective and responsive to local need.

To help us achieve this, we have a small team based locally in the area who work to:

  • bring together services such as the police, health, employment services and housing management
  • bring together services delivered by the Council like Environmental services, highways and education
  • ensure services can be delivered in a way that local people need and want
