The Connexions Centre provides careers advice, information and guidance for young people. It also provides a job placing service for young people between 16-19 years of age who want to go into employment.
Careers Advisers go into schools, colleges and training centres to provide careers advice and guidance to young people studying or training at the institution. There is a named Careers Adviser with responsibility for each school/college within the borough.
Careers Service staff also provide assistance with CV. writing, application forms, interviews and job search. There is also the opportunity for young people to participate in video mock interviews with feed back. Advisers are also able to provide information on a broad range of opportunities relating to education, employment or training.
