Pregnancy and parenthood at an early age present major challenges in the lives of young people, that can potentially affect their chances of achieving the best outcomes in their lives.

The Teenage Pregnancy Reintegration Officer, works with schools to promote the continuing education of statutory school age girls who are pregnant to ensure equal access to services.  This involves working with staff in a number of agencies including social services, midwives, health visitors and the youth support service.

The Teenage Pregnancy Reintegration Officer also supports young parents up to the age of 19 in assessing educational/careers advice and activities.
