Welcome to the School Organisation, Partnership and Development (formerly CSU) – we oversee Children Services Assets and School Organisation, meeting the objectives as defined by the Children and Young People Plan (CYPP). Activities include:
- Production of an Asset Management Plan (AMP), which enables capital funding and investment decisions to be made at a local level in a transparent and rational manner. Based on collated data on school buildings’ condition, suitability and sufficiency, the AMP ensures a robust mechanism for appraising, benchmarking and reviewing changing needs and priorities.
- Production of a School Organisation Plan (SOP), managing school places and ensuring the number and type of School places meets local demand.
- Managing Capital Programmes and ensuring building works/projects are delivered on time and in budget.
- Closing down capital accounts for Children and Young People Services and schools.
We also work closely with VT Education and Skills who provide key support services to Schools.
