Introduction
Waltham Forest is required under section 52 of the Schools Standards and Framework Act 1998 to prepare an annual Section 52 Budget Statement before the beginning of each financial year i.e. by 31 March. After the end of that financial year they are required to prepare an Outturn Statement. Separate regulations and guidance apply to budget statements.
Regulatory provisions directly affecting the content of the section 52 Outturn Statements are also made in the LEA Budget, Schools Budget and Individual Schools Budget (England) Regulations 2003, and Financing of maintained Schools (England) (No. 2) Regulations 2003.
