Free school meals
Free school meals are school lunches, which are provided each school day for pupils, for which no charge is made. Pupil Services deal with applications for free school meals for pupils who attend school in Waltham Forest. If your child attend school in another area, you will need to contact the Local Authority that maintains that school.

Child and student discounts

Learner Support Funds
Learner Support fund (LSF) is the new name for what use to be called School Access Fund. Pupil Services administers this fund on behalf of the Learning Skills Council. The grant is to help students with their learning and living costs. It is also to help young people stay on in education.
Who is eligible?
- Students aged between 16-19 years
- Anyone who attends a sixth form school
- Anyone who does not receive an Education Maintenance Allowance (EMA) and gross annual income is less than £17,000 per annum
- Anyone who receives an EMA and is still in financial hardship
- Students living in the Borough of Waltham Forest Students studying at Sixth Form College should contact their college, whom also administers Leaner Support funds.
