Wanting to Open Up Your Own Childcare Provision

Are you interested in opening a childcare provision?

We offer guidance and support to new and potential childcare providers in Waltham  Forest.

We offer:

  • An initial information pack (160KB Word file)
  • Daycare briefing sessions (every 6 weeks)
  • Pre-registration visit
  • Funding information and guidance
  • Identifying other helpful organisation

There are four main categories of group childcare settings:

Full Day Care:

i.e. Facilities that provide day care for children under 8 for a continuous period of four hours or more in any day on non-domestic premises

Sessional Care

i.e. Facilities that provide day care for children under 8 for a session which is less than a continuous period of four hours in any day on non-domestic premises.

Creches:

i.e. Facilities that provide occasional care for children under 8 and are provided on particular non-domestic premises on more than five days a year.

Out of School:

i.e. Facilities that provide day care for children under 8 that operate on non-domestic premises during one or more of the following: before school, after school, during school holidays.
