The Waltham Forest Family Information Service is a confidential service providing free impartial childcare information. It offers guidance to parents/carers, providers and employers on a range of childcare and related services within the London Borough of Waltham Forest including:

- Parent and toddler groups
- Out of school and breakfast clubs
- Free early education for 3 and 4 year olds
- Pre-school playgroups
- Holiday playschemes
- Creches
There are regular childminding forums for people wanting to become registered childminders and daycare briefings for people wanting to open nurseries or other daycare provision at which information is given out and questions can be answered.
We can also offer advice and support on Working Tax Credits, Child Tax Credit, local training opportunities, work life balance rights, special needs inclusion and help for lone parents.
