VT Education and Skills Waltham Forest run the contract for school improvement and support services. The company have the responsibility for the management and delivery of school admissions and grant services for pupils and parents.

Swine flu

Residents in Waltham Forest can be reassured that robust plans are in place in case of an influenza outbreak in the Borough. The Council is working with NHS Waltham Forest to provide advice to people in the Borough.

Waltham Forest Careers Service Connexions Centre is moving

The Connexions Centre will close to the public on Thursday, 16 July 2009 at 5pm and the new Centre will open at 9am on Tuesday, 21 July 2009.

Norlington School for Boys closed – Thursday 2 July 2009

Owing to industrial action by members of the National Union of Teachers, Norlington School for Boys will not be open on Thursday 2 July 2009.

The school will be open as normal on Friday.

Statutory proposals are now published for schools listed below

The Federated Governing Body of Cann Hall Primary School and Tom Hood Community Science College and the Governing Body of George Mitchell School and Norlington School for Boys have now published the statutory proposals to change these schools categories from Community School to Foundation School supported by a Trust.
