Kumon is an individualised programme of maths and English study for children of
all ages and abilities. Students attend their local centre to study under the guidance of a trained
Kumon Instructor once or twice a week, and stay for between 30-45 minutes per visit to class. Kumon
can also be studied by correspondence.
The Kumon Method aims to increase self-confidence,
develop students' ability to learn for themselves and nurture a love of learning. Kumon complements
the National Curriculum and covers counting to arithmetic to calculus.
There are more
than 500 Kumon study centres throughout the UK and the programme is studied by over 3 million students
