This page explains how to use your PIN number to activate your online Council Tax or Business Rates account and turn on e-billing.

1) Register for e-billing

  • You need to have registered for e-billing.
  • Once we receive your registration, we will post your PIN number to you. You will need this to activate your online account.
  • When you get your PIN, please log in and follow the instructions below.

Before you can view your account, you will need to activate your PIN number:

2) How to activate your PIN

  • Select Council Tax or Business Rates
  • Select View your account and bill details
  • Enter the username and password you originally registered with
  • Enter your Council Tax or Business Rates account number, along with the PIN number you received in the post
  • Then click on submit

3) Viewing your account details

  • Select the account period you wish to view from the drop down list, and then click on the GO button.

4) How to turn on e-billing

  • From the account summary page, select e-billing sign up
  • Read and accept the terms and conditions
  • Select your name from the drop down list at the bottom of the page, then make sure the status is showing as Email via URL link
  • Enter the email address that you want the bill notification to be sent to (you will need to enter your email address twice)
  • We will then send you an email to verify the address
  • When you receive the email, click on the link in it. This will activate e-billing on your account.
