This page explains how to register for Self-Service and activate your online Council Tax,  Business Rates, Benefit or Creditor account. You can also opt in to receive future bills electronically.

1. Register for Self Service

  • Firstly, you need to register for Self-Service. Once we receive your registration, we will send your Personal Identification Number (PIN)  to you. We will normally send this within 2 working days to the email address you gave during registration. Once you receive your PIN, please log in and follow the instructions below.
  • You will need to activate your PIN before you can view your account:

2. Activating your PIN

  • Select Non-Domestic Rates, Council Tax or Benefits service
  • A new window will open
  • Select View your Details
  • Enter the username and password you originally registered with
  • Enter your Council Tax,  Business Rates, Benefit or Creditor reference number, along with the PIN number you received
  • Then click on Submit

3. Viewing your account details

  • Select the account period you wish to view from the drop down list, and then click on the GO button.

4. How to turn on e-billing

  • From the account summary page, select e-billing sign up
  • Read and accept the terms and conditions
  • Select your name from the drop down list at the bottom of the page, then make sure the status is showing as
  • Email via URL link
  • Enter the email address that you want the bill notification to be sent to (you will need to enter your email address twice)
  • We will then send you an email to verify the address
  • When you receive the email, click on the link in it. This will activate e-billing on your account.
