Publishing the Register of Electors

Each year the Electoral Services Office has to publish a new Register of Electors (or Voters Roll). This involves conducting an audit of all residential properties in Waltham Forest.

Voter Registration Forms

We have sent Voter Registration Forms to every property within the borough. Please return your form as soon as possible as we need the information gathered to compile the 2008 Register of Electors. The Register will be published on 1 December 2008, and will be used in any elections that may be held after that date.

How to complete the form

All eligible names must be added or confirmed on this form but only one member of the household needs to sign it.

If the details on your form are correct, you must still reply to remain on the Register.  The correct information can be confirmed in one of five ways:

  • by using the free automated telephone response service
  • internet registration
  • completing the form
  • returning it to us
  • by SMS text service (new this year)

If the details need to be updated, amend the form as necessary, then return it in the prepaid envelope provided.

Please reply promptly

Please return your form as soon as possible. We will deliver Reminder forms to all properties from which we have not received a reply by the middle of September, so help us to keep costs down by replying before 12 September 2008.
