How is it calculated?

The Council Tax is made up of two parts:

  • The amount raised to meet the spending needs of the London Borough of Waltham Forest plus
  • The amount raised to meet the spending needs of the Greater London Authority

Council Tax for 1 April 2010-31 March 2011

The Council Tax was set by Full Council on 25 February 2010. The first bills will be sent out on or after 8 March 2010, with the first instalment due by 1 April 2010, unless you pay by direct debit in which case a choice of instalment dates is offered.

  • All instalments are due on the first of each month, unless you are paying by direct debit
  • If you do not pay by direct debit, please make sure you allow enough time (at least 8 working days) to make sure your payments reach the Council by the 1st of each month
