Good Governance
The London Borough of Waltham Forest is working to develop a detailed document on Good Governance. In the interim this code is based on the Governance arrangements already in place across the authority, a number of policies and procedures which are already in place, and those set out in the Council’s Constitution.

These principles reflect the key components as set out in the CIPFA/SOLACE Framework: Corporate Governance in Local Government - A Keystone for Community Governance. (CIPFA is the Chartered Institute of Public Finance Accounts; SOLACE is the Society of Local Authority Chief Executives.)
