Online payments

» Parking payments for penalty notices issued for parking, bus lane and moving traffic violations

» All other payments, including Council Tax, Business Rates, BID accounts, benefit overpayments, rents, and sundry debts (miscellaneous invoices)

If you are paying a general invoice number beginning 5003****, please select "Invoices - 7 digit accounts" and use your 7 digit customer number instead.

Online payment system has changed

10 Mar: The Council has changed its online payments system so some pages may look slightly different. However the system is completely secure. This is shown when you enter your details by the web address starting with https://.

If you decide to stop processing your payment part-way through, or if the online payment fails, your payment details will not be taken.

Additional security checks are now required on all card payments. This is to reduce any possible fraudulent use of cards for on-line transactions. These checks mean you may now be asked 2 additional questions to confirm your payment:

  • The three digit security code on the signature strip on the back of your card. This is mandatory for all payments
  • Your Verisecure password. This only applies to those cardholders who have signed up to Verisecure
