Listening to audio files

There are two ways you can listen to MP3 audio files on our site

Download MP3 audio file to your computer

  • Right-click on the link for audio file
  • Select Save Target As (if you are using Internet Explorer) or Save Link As (if you are using Firefox)
  • Choose the folder you want to store the file in and click the OK button
  • When the download is complete, double-click on the saved MP3 file, it will automatically start your media player and play the file..

Please be aware that audio files may be large and could take some time to download on a 56k modem. On broadband, download time isn't an issue.

Use our streaming audio player

Some audio files on our site have been set up so that you can listen to them directly. This process is similar to that used on YouTube for videos.

To play a streaming audio file:

  • Click on the play button in the audio player
  • There may be a slight pause whilst audio is streamed to your PC

Sound files / MP3 files

In order to play audio files you may need to download and install one of the programs below. Windows Media Player is usually installed on new PCs and iTunes is usually on Apple Macintoshes by default. The programs are free of charge by and can be downloaded from the links below.
