The Waltham Forest Compact is a partnership agreement between Waltham Forest statutory organisations and the voluntary and community sector. It is a commitment to work together more closely and to respect each other’s rights and responsibilities.
The Compact promotes a culture of empowerment and continually improving working relations between the sectors in Waltham Forest; develops the relationship between and across sectors at all levels; and, improves communication and information flow between organisations and with the general public.

A working group consisting of voluntary sector organisations and local statutory organisations was set up to monitor the Compact. It was recently refreshed as part of the Towards a Thriving Third Sector Review to advise the Review. The Compact is being discussed as part of the Review and we will provide more information on the progress on these webpages.
