This is one of many new services being offered by Waltham Forest Register Office in partnership with Civil Ceremonies Ltd. The ceremony is designed for those who are already legally married, no matter what length of time, and of any age.
The ceremony can be associated with any particular wedding anniversary or at any point during the marriage. It gives the couple the opportunity to renew their vows and commitment to each other in a unique and personal ceremony. The ceremony can also be used where a couple have perhaps been married abroad, but wish to celebrate their marriage in Waltham Forest in front of family and friends who were unable to be present at the original ceremony.
There is a wide range of options available for the choice of music, readings and the choice of vows that you wish to make to each other during the ceremony.
You can create the ceremony of your choice and involve all the special people in your lives, such as your children family and friends.
The ceremony is non-religious and has no legal status. It is not any form of legal marriage, nor is it binding on either party. You must produce your marriage certificate when booking your ceremony. You do not need to live in the area where the ceremony is to take place. A souvenir “Certificate of Renewal of Marriage Vows” is issued to mark the event.
The fee for the ceremony irrespective of where and when it is held within the London Borough of Waltham Forest is £250.
