We register births and deaths and issue certified copies of birth, marriage and death entries. Our records go back to 1837, when civil registrations were first introduced.
We can also advise you how to obtain a birth certificate if you were born elsewhere, if you were adopted, or born abroad.
Our Registrars are on hand to help you through the registration of a birth of a family member, and our staff will see all personal callers at the Registry Office on arrival:
