This page tells you about making a complaint, compliment or suggestion about social care provided to children, young people, adults and their families and carers.
Who can make a complaint?
Anyone who uses the services provided by Adult Social Care or Children and Young People Services can make a complaint or give us feedback on anything they are either happy or unhappy about.
If you are:
- A child or a young person (under 18) and would like to contact us please visit our web page on making a complaint for children.
- A parent/carer (or other adult) who would like to contact us about children services, please visit our web page on making a complaint for adults using children social services.
- An adult (18 or older) who would like to contact us about adult social services, please visit our web page on making a complaint adults social services
If you are a foster carer or (prospective) adopter, a separate appeals procedure applies to some type of complaints, depending on whether the complaint is about services to you or the child you look after. You should contact the Children’s Social Services Complaints Team
