The Children’s Community Physiotherapy Team provides physiotherapy assessment, treatment and advice to children and young adults from 0 – 19 years of age, who have difficulties or conditions which affect their movement, development and/or function.
In addition, we provide specialist paediatric orthotic assessment, advice and provision and monitoring of orthoses (e.g. splints, specialist footwear, helmets, etc).
We work closely with children and their families/carers to help them to achieve their best possible potential and we are committed to integrated working with our colleagues in Health, Education and Social Services.
Referrals are accepted from any Professional.
The main Physiotherapy Team is based at The Wood Street Health Centre but we work at various sites across the borough including mainstream and special needs schools.
