Welcome to the Specialist Children’s Service web pages.
The Specialist Children’s Service provides a multi-disciplinary service to disabled children, children with health needs, their parents and carers. The London Borough of Waltham Forest and Waltham Forest Primary Care Trust have worked together to develop an integrated service offering greater co-ordination in the way that professionals work together with families to support children.
The new Specialist Children’s Service brings together:
- 92 Leyton Green Road Respite Team
- Children’s Community Nursing Team
- Child Development Team
- Child Health Team
- Children’s Occupational Therapists (COTs)
- Community Paediatrician
- Disabled Children’s Social Work Team
- Early Support
- Physiotherapy
- Portage Team
- Special Needs Information Partnership (SNIP)
- Specialist Children’s Service Management Team
- Speech and Language Therapy
Most of these teams are now based at The Wood Street Health Centre, but some staff may be based at other locations.
