Waltham Forest’s Local Strategic Partnership is determined to eradicate child poverty - by raising incomes, skill levels and aspirations, and supporting people during tough times. The Child Poverty Strategy for Waltham Forest puts tackling child poverty and unlocking the talents of residents at the very heart of this work.

ContactPoint?

ContactPoint is a contact list for professionals who work with children and young people. It will provide them with a quick way to find out who else is working with the same child, making it easier for them to work as a team and deliver more coordinated support.

Integrated working training

The Integrated Working team have a new programme of two-day working training. This training will focus on Information sharing, Common Assessment Framework and Lead Professional. Staff working with children and families will need to have this training.

There are many courses with places available through April until September 2009 so ensure that you are up to date with your practice and development and the standard early intervention process in Waltham Forest.

Children and young people's involvement standards framework and toolkit

The best way to ensure that our services meet the needs of children and young people using them, is to involve them in the design, review and monitoring of services. The involvement standards framework and toolkit is Waltham Forest council's way of ensuring that all services are equipped to do this.
