Leytonstone town centre
Businesses in the Leytonstone commercial centre have established the first town centre Business Improvement District (BID) in North London and the second BID in the London Borough of Waltham Forest.
A BID is a defined geographical area like in a town centre, where businesses come together to decide how to improve their trading environment. Through consultations, a range of projects are agreed by businesses. These are then put to a democratic vote involving all the businesses in the proposed BID area. BID status grants businesses an opportunity to breathe new life and energy into areas of business and commerce.
