Pharmacy and Poisons Registration

If you wish to sell non-medicinal poisons included in Part II of the poisons list you must register with the local authority on an annual basis under Section 5 of the Poisons Act 1972. You must complete an application for registration and return it to the local authority with the appropriate fee.

You need to provide details of the business carried on at the premises to be registered and the name of a deputy or deputies who would be registered to sell the non-medicinal poisons. The local authority will then enter the details provided on the application form onto a register and issue a registration document.

The current annual fee for registration is £64.00. All registrations expire on 30th April each year.
