The British High Commission assesses suitability, size and fitness of properties prior to allowing entry to the UK for family members. Waltham Forest are unable to provide this service, but an Environmental Health Officer can be commissioned to carry out the required inspection. For a list of inspectors and costs contact:

Fire proofing works
Environmental Health Officers are responsible for taking action to ensure landlords carry out fire-proofing work to houses in multiple occupation i.e. houses occupied by more than one household.
