Widows and Orphans International (WOI) delivers practical support and advice, as well as a comprehensive training offer for Waltham Forest residents, who want to return to work.

WOI will also be providing training from basic entry level courses to full NVQ awards. Please register with any of the Worknet partners for further information on how to access support into employment and vocational training.

PLIAS Resettlement

The services which PLIAS Resettlement offers are all geared towards assisting ex-offenders and ex-prisoners to resettle in the community and improve their lives. The services we offer includes

  • Education and training
  • Mentoring
  • Employment advice and guidance
  • Housing support and advice
  • Community engagement projects

We are actively engaged with the community in which we are based and run crime awareness, crime prevention workshops, community seminars and conferences at various times throughout the year.

Information, advice and guidance

All the services delivered by PLIAS Resettlement are delivered within the context of Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG). We aim to provide our clients with IAG which is both realistic and relevant to their individual development needs and aspirations.

We provide the following:

  • Writing job applications, CV's and covering letters
  • Interview techniques and confidence building
  • Numeracy, Literacy and Computer Training
  • Housing advice and guidance
  • One to One mentoring and counselling support
