The online network helping local residents access local jobs, training and support, the Waltham Forest MegaNexus has now expanded into a three borough network with neighbouring Haringey and Enfield.
Following a successful pilot in 2005 that saw over 30 people assisted into employment and around 150 connected to training and support services. The network provides a facility for Waltham Forest residents to register and create your own employment profile based on your skills and experience, this is then be matched to vacancies across the three boroughs. It can also provice accessito local training and support provision (from finding your local nursery to debt counselling) Any organisations offering advice and guidance services to residents in LBWF can access the site and set up their own free account to promote what they do by uploading promotional materials etc.. New developments include the ability to send targeted text messages informing users of the latest vacancies, training/support opportunities and events.
The aim is to achieve co-ordinated provision across the three boroughs so that an individual can find and access a local support provider and receive all the support they require.
If you want to set up your own free account please contact Sebastian Ailioaie from MegaNexus at seb@meganexus.com or on 020 7419 2745.
