What is a BID?

A Business Improvement District  (BID) is managed by an independent business led company which seeks to guarantee, improve and enhance services and environmental conditions of a defined geographic area of commercial activity.

Waltham Forest council has two districts which will be managed by BID:  

Argall BID

The Argall BID will deliver services and projects under five key priorities:

  • Safe and secure place to do business
  • Signage Improvement
  • Connected businesses
  • Cleaner environment
  • Improved public transport and access

The E11 BID will provide businesses with the opportunity to identify projects and services that will deliver value added improvements to that area, including:

  • Enhanced marketing
  • Improved street cleaning
  • CCTV
  • Sensor key lighting
  • Street T V
  • Litter bins
