Competence Matters
The framework offers detailed guidance for the development of a complete safeguarding children training programme. It has been designed to support and assist Local Safeguarding Children Boards to develop and manage comprehensive training programmes that meet required standards and locally identified needs. The framework is designed to act as the basis for this programme, with each individual LSCB taking into account local factors, such as feedback from serious case reviews, and the needs of local organisations and services when planning their training. Download a copy of Competence Matters [416KB PDF file].
Ensuring the provision of multi-agency training is one of the key responsibilities of the LSCB.
