Local partnerships

Last updated 11 November 2015

Partnerships are a key means of improving service delivery whereby the Council works with the voluntary, public and private sectors to bring about better outcomes for people in Waltham Forest. Following a decision taken by the LSP Board in March 2012 to discontinue the Local Strategic Partnership as an inter-related structure of partnership bodies, a number of the former LSP thematic partnerships are being continued as free standing bodies.

Agendas, reports and minutes for the Employment & Enterprise, SafetyNet and Housing Partnerships - and for the former LSP Board - are available on the Council's meetings, agendas and minutes webpage.

The SafetyNet Partnership operates as the key strategic forum to deliver crime, disorder and drugs reduction for people who live and work in Waltham Forest. It engages key partners in the statutory, private and voluntary sectors to achieve this outcome; but it is recognised that, even if all organisations work effectively together, this task cannot and should not be delivered alone.

Chair: Chief Superintendent Steve Wisbey, Borough Commander, Waltham Forest

Policy lead: Alastair Macorkindale, Head of Community Safety
