Walthamstow School for Girls
Walthamstow School for Girls has undergone building and refurbishment works which have completely transformed teaching and learning spaces for pupils and staff.
This exciting development has brought a £18 million part rebuild and part refurbishment for the school’s buildings. Amongst its many new facilities, pupils and staff now benefit from:
- new labs and workshops
- state of the art music and drama studios
- a new canteen, dining area and assembly hall
- improvements made to the school’s ICT facilities including a wireless network
In addition, the school will also be able to provide 40 places for ‘post-16’ education from September 2010, meaning pupils can stay on after their GCSE examinations and gain further qualifications at the same school.
