Leyton Library can enable customers to access the Council's services. As well as issuing books, staff will also be on-hand to answer general queries and help visitors access the services they need over the phone or online.
Although the library will not offer a 'walk-in' service for housing or benefit-related enquiries, you will be able to pre-book appointments to discuss these matters. These meetings will be away from the main library area to ensure privacy.
The Metropolitan Police in Waltham Forest will hold a surgery in Leyton Library every Wednesday from 5pm-7pm and every Saturday from 2pm-4pm from 1 May. Please see details below

Leyton Library English Speaking Club
1.30pm-2.30pm
Come along to this club to improve your spoken English and build confidence in a small friendly group. Discuss topics such as health, family, shopping, food, work, events in the news and everyday life in Waltham Forest. Please contact the library to find out more or to book a place.
Colour Me Happy - arts and crafts (ages 4-11)

- Report a crime
- Report lost property or hand in found property
- Make an appointment to speak to a local officer
- Hand in self-reporting forms for road traffic accident
- Obtain crime prevention advice
- Obtain advice about police related matters
- Discuss community concerns
- Make an appointment to give a statement if you don’t want the police to come to your house or place of work
- Make an appointment to speak to an officer about a complaint against police

Basic Computer Course (Beginners only)

This course will teach you how to use the keyboard and the mouse and how to access the various software programmes on your computer.
