24 July 2012 in Waltham Forest News

In July 2012, as part of Waltham Forest’s Troubled Families programme, we are processing personal data relating to pupils in schools that is contained in our school census.  The data relates to pupils exclusion records and their attendance records.   This information is being matched with information held by our Youth Offending Team in order to identify those Families who may be eligible for support under the Troubled Families Programme.

The processing of this personal data is necessary to enable the Troubled Families programme to progress to the next stage in readiness for the programme launch in September 2012. For more information, please follow the following link to the Department for Communities and Local Government webpage where you can access and/or download the Financial framework for the Troubled Families Programme that contains details of the process for the identification of families who should be part of the programme.
