POhWER Information and Advice Service in Waltham Forest

POhWER Information and Advice Service offer a range of free, confidential and independent information, advice and advocacy services to help people make choices about their lives, to understand their rights, to be treated as equals and to be heard. The service is available to anyone who lives in Waltham Forest.
 
POhWER's skilled and trained staff are available to give information and advice within the community.

  • Education
  • Debt
  • Transport
If POhWER cannot help you directly they will link you with the best people who can. They can also find out about organisations /services/support groups which can help you with a range of other issues not listed.

They are open Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm, and up to 7pm on Thursdays. They also have drop-in sessions on Tuesdays from 10am-12pm and Thursdays from 10am-12pm.
 
You can also visit them at the Customer Services Centre at 137 Hoe Street, London E17 4RT.
 
They have sessions there on Mondays from 9.30am - 12pm and Thursdays from 1pm-4pm.
 
If you are unable to visit them, POhWER can come to see you in your home or at a place of your choice for example a community or voluntary organisation you may attend regularly (please contact them to make arrangements).
