New additional Reception places for September 2012
Applications for admission to Reception September 2012
Parents applying for a Reception place for their child for September 2012 are advised to consider the information given below.
An additional 20 Reception classes (600 places) will be available at the following schools for September 2012:

- Hillyfield Primary Academy (90 places)
- Mission Grove Primary School (60 places)
- St Mary’s C of E Primary School (60 places)
- Newport Primary School (30 places)
- Davies Lane Primary School (60 places)
- Stoneydown Park Primary School (30 places)

Proposed expansion of primary schools from September 2012
The Council is currently consulting on proposals to expand permanently the primary schools listed below from September 2012 in order to create additional school places – 13 forms of entry (FE) – 390 places in total. The number of pupils to be admitted to Reception classes from September 2012, and subsequent years, will increase by 1FE (30 places), 2FE (60 places) or 3FE (90 places).
Statutory consultation on these proposals will run from 9 January - 5 February 2012, and this is an opportunity for you to comment on the proposals. A consultation document giving more detail on the consultation process is available at schools, in libraries, and other council buildings, and on the council’s and schools’ websites.
